With Gratitude to:

My parents. My mom and dad gave me unconditional love. They raised me to be fearless, and supported me in all my rational and irrational moves and endeavors. My dear mom passed away in November 2005. My heart hurts, but I have to keep living; she would want me to be happy no matter what.

Rich Roth, my mentor. Rich has helped me find stable grounds in the US, and helped believe it will be all right. Rich brought me to appreciate technology. He is an incredible system architect and web applications developer. He is a serial entrepreneur with hands on experience in building businesses.

Rebecca Richards-Webb, my American mom and my true friend. Rebecca is the best example of intelligence, worldliness, humanity, and ample energy. She has been instrumental in a number of USAID international projects to help develop sound financial practices in third world countries. I am grateful to her for love and support through the years we have known each other.

Jim Pitts, my life coach and dance partner. After 30 years at Digital (DEC) where he rose from coder to the best in the nation sales person, Jim left the technology world to grow organic food with his family at their beautiful farm. Jim has come to my life after I lost my mom. Through gentle coaching, he helped me recover emotionally and brought me to enjoy partner dancing.

Lynn Skillen, Senior Vice President, Sun Capital Partners
Lynn taught me concepts of financial modeling and fascinated me with ways to get to and evaluate EBITDA. He kept reinforcing ‘truth is in details’. He trained me to build forecasts and make sure the bottom line in all models is consistent.

Terry Stroud, my first real boss. Terry has been Chief of Party with USAID Banking Supervision Projects in six newly independent countries of the former Soviet camp and rendered his advise in many more projects and countries. Terry is an example of a strong person. He always reinforced: ‘Leaders never quit, quitters never lead’.

Health, happiness, and long lives to you, dear folks, who made a difference in my life.
